We recently changed our company name from Bayside Technology, LLC to Braneworks, LLC.   The reasons are too many to get into, but the process for picking a name was not easy nor was it quick.

Apparently, every reasonable name (or jiberish you can invent) was already taken.  At one point, we thought of calling the company “All The Good Names Were Taken, LLC”.   It got so bad that a friend of minde started to believe that domain-name search engines were registering any name we entered (the good ones, at least).   He based his belief on the millisecond delay we encounted when we entered what we thought was a good name, only to be met with the dreaded “NOT AVAILABLE”.

When we finally did come up with Braneworks, we knew it was the one.  I know it won’t be everyone’s favorite but just remember, Apple was a really weird name once : )
